FAITH RINGGOLD is a prolific author/illustrator as well as an accomplished and influential painter and quiltmaker. During December 2011, the Miami Art Museum exhibited "American People, Black Light: Faith Ringgold Paintings of the 1960s," organized by Thom Collins, MAM director and Tracy Fitzpatrick, curator of Neuberger Museum of Art.
Just prior to a book signing session at the ACA Galleries during Art Miami, Faith Ringgold gave an interview about this crucial period in her career; it's posted in the 5 minute takeout section. Listen here.
Additional information is available on the Neuberger Museum site, where the exhibition was first shown.
